This Privacy Policy explains what dosomtin collects, how it is used, and the choices users have. It is written to match the app's current social, event, circle, post, notification, location, contact sync, camera/photo, and moderation features.
By using dosomtin, you understand that information may be processed as described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Account and profile information: name, username, email address, avatar, bio, city, date of birth, activity rankings, and account settings.
Social content and activity: friends, friend requests, blocks, circles, circle membership and invites, events, event invites and responses, posts, photos, comments, reactions, mentions, content reports, and related timestamps.
Location information: if you grant location access, dosomtin uses your device location (which may be precise) to show nearby places that match your interests and to support location-based features. We use your location only while you are using these features and do not continuously track you in the background. If you do not grant location access, we may instead use the city in your profile.
Device and app information: push notification tokens, device identifiers used for notifications, app version, platform, and basic diagnostic information. If a crash reporting provider is configured, limited crash and performance data may be collected to improve reliability.
Permission-based information: if you grant access, dosomtin may use your camera, photo library, or contacts to power features you choose to use. For example, contact sync hashes contact email addresses on your device and sends only those hashes (never the plaintext addresses) to look for people you may know, capped to a limited batch for matching. We do not upload your full contact list, transmit or store plaintext email addresses for people who are not dosomtin users, or keep contacts you have not matched.
We use information to create and maintain accounts, show profiles, recommend friends and shared interests, support circles and events, deliver posts and comments, surface nearby places, send notifications, process reports, block abuse, improve reliability, and provide customer support.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how dosomtin is used and to improve the app. Aggregated or de-identified information cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
With other users: your profile, activity rankings, posts, events, circles, comments, and reactions may be visible to other users depending on your relationships, memberships, invite status, post visibility, and privacy settings.
With service providers: we use providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions, Expo for push notification delivery, Apple MapKit for places and mapping, and platform identity providers when you choose sign-in options such as Apple or Google. These providers process information for us so the app can operate.
For safety and legal reasons: we may access, preserve, or share information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or respond to lawful requests.
Business transfers: if dosomtin is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
You can update profile information in Settings, choose what to post, control post visibility where the app provides that option, leave or manage circles, respond to invites, block users, and disable push notifications.
You can revoke device permissions such as Location, Contacts, Photos, Camera, or Notifications in your device settings at any time. Some features may stop working if permissions are revoked.
You can request account deletion from Settings. Deletion removes your account and associated records where possible, subject to backups, safety records, moderation logs, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide dosomtin, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate operational needs.
Some content may remain visible if you shared it with others before deletion, if another user created related content, or if retention is needed for safety, audit, or legal purposes.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
dosomtin requires users to be at least 17 years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. We use the date of birth you provide to enforce this minimum age and to age-gate certain people-discovery features for the safety of younger users. If you believe someone under 17 has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To make a privacy request, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
dosomtin does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. dosomtin does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. If that changes, this policy will be updated and any required choices will be provided.
dosomtin is operated from the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. It is not offered to, or directed at, users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Your information is processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy as dosomtin changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date above or showing an in-app notice.
